The season begins at the Sahalee Players Championship from Sept. 7-8 at Sahalee Country Club in Seattle.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida head men’s golf coach J.C. Deacon announced the 2024-25 schedule on Thursday. The campaign features nine regular season tournaments with the Gators Invitational set for Feb. 15-16.
The season begins with a trip to the west coast for Florida’s first ever appearance in the Sahalee Players Championship at Sahalee Country Club in Seattle from Sept. 7-8. A competitive field includes Arizona, Arizona State, North Carolina, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Texas A&M and others.
Next is a trip to Olympia Fields for the Fighting Illini Collegiate from Sept. 20-22 followed by the Barbara Nicklaus Cup at Muirfield Village Golf Club, which will feature stroke play and match play with the Gators women’s golf program. The fall finale is set at the Williams Cup on Oct. 20-22 at Eagle Point Golf Club.
Florida tees off the spring portion at the Southwestern Invitational on Jan. 27-29 at Sherwood Country Club followed by the host of the 47th annual Gators Invitational set for Feb. 15-16 at Mark Bostick Golf Course. Florida has won the event 30 times in program history and the last five consecutive.
A staple and one of the highest ranked tournaments of the year, UF heads to the Southern Highlands Collegiate March 2-4. In back-to-back years, a Gator golfer has won medalist honors with Ian Gilligan last year and Yuxin Lin in 2023.
The regular season ends with the Schenkel Invitational (March 21-23) and Calusa Cup (April 6-8), two events that Florida won last year to end the regular season in back-to-back outings.
The SEC Championship (April 23-27) will take place at Sea Island in St. Simons, Ga. NCAA Regionals are set for May 12-14 with the six host schools of Arkansas, Florida State, Liberty, Nevada, Oklahoma State and Washington State,
The NCAA Championships enter their second year at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. Action is set from May 23-28.
