Emma LoPinto, Sarah Reznick and Danielle Pavinelli continue to rack up the conference accolades
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After defeating Vanderbilt on Saturday, three Gators earned American Athletic Conference awards, as the league announced Monday.
For the seventh-straight week and eighth time overall, Emma LoPinto was named AAC Freshman of the Week, while Sarah Reznick earned her fourth overall AAC honor of the season and third Defender of the Week title for the 2022 campaign. To round of the Gators with awards, Danielle Pavinelli was tabbed to the Honor Roll – her ninth overall accolade this season.
Against Vanderbilt, LoPinto netted a career-high seven goals on 11 shots for a .636 shooting percentage. The seven goals are the third-highest total overall in program history and is the most ever scored by a Florida freshman.
The freshman currently sits 11th in the nation in shot percentage (.595) and ranks first in the conference in points per game (4.86).
Reznick was lights out in the cage against the Commodores, recording 13 saves with a .722 clip, while only allowing five goals. She also registered one groundball in the victory.
The redshirt sophomore goalie sits 12th in the nation and first in the conference in goals-against average (9.84) and is also first in the league in save percentage (.476).
Pavinelli earned her spot on the Honor Roll after scoring four goals against Vanderbilt on Saturday. The Northport, N.Y. native also dished out one assist and picked up two groundballs in the pivotal conference win.
The sophomore attacker currently sits first in the conference in points per game (4.86) and sixth in the nation in free position percentage (.722).
The Gators are back in action on Saturday as they welcome the Temple Owls to Donald R. Dizney Stadium. Opening draw is slated for 12 p.m. and the game will serve as Florida’s Senior Day.
