GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida women’s lacrosse team once against proved their academic dominance as 31 student-athletes were named to the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll, as the league announced Thursday.
The 31 honorees are the most by the lacrosse team in program history.
Between lacrosse, baseball, golf, softball, tennis and track & field, the University of Florida had an astounding 137 student-athletes named to the Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll.
On the field, the Gators finished the 2023 season with a 17-4 record overall and a 5-1 run in conference play. For the 10th time in program history, including the ninth-straight year, the Gators were able to hoist the conference tournament championship trophy, having defeated then-No. 6 James Madison in the AAC Championship game.
