UF LAX: Koury Captures Third Big 12 Midfielder of the Week Honor

The Junior midfielder scored a career high four goals in the Gators’ 13-10 win over Dartmouth

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Junior Midfielder Gabi Koury has been named Big 12 Midfielder of the Week for the third time this season after her four-goal performance in Florida’s 13-10 win over Dartmouth.

This is the fourth straight week the Gators have earned a Big 12 player of the week honor.

Against Dartmouth, Koury would finish with four goals, three draw controls and one caused turnover. Her third goal of the game, coming at 11:54 in the third quarter would give Florida an 11-8 lead and prove to the be game winner as Florida would hold on to win 13-10.

Koury’s four goals against Dartmouth was a game high and her four points led the Gators. Her four-goal game marked her fourth straight game with at least a hattrick and her third game with four points this season. Her three draw controls mark the fifth game this season where she at least three in draw controls in a game.

The No. 7/5 Gators are back in action as they head out west to Arizona State to open Big 12 play on Saturday, March 28th at 1 p.m. EDT/10 a.m. MST.
