Tulane is Semifinals-Bound After 83-76 Win Over Florida Atlantic at 2025 American Men’s Basketball Championship

FORT WORTH, Texas — No. 4 Tulane defeated No. 5 Florida Atlantic, 83-76, in the quarterfinals of the 2025 American Men’s Basketball Championship Friday afternoon, March 14 at Dickies arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

With the win, the Green Wave (19-13) will face No. 1 Memphis in the semifinals on Saturday, March 15, at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT on ESPNU and ESPN+.

Down two at 74-72 with 3:16 remaining, Tulane went on a 9-0 run to pull away from the Owls (18-15), started by a Greg Glenn III dunk.

Tulane shot 46.7% (14-30) from the floor in the first half, with Kaleb Banks scoring 14 points. Vokietaitis led the Owls, scoring 11 points in the first half. Trailing 23-17 with 8:48 remaining in the first period, Florida Atlantic (18-15) went on a 12-0 run started by Matas Vokietaitis’s layup. Tulane responded with a 12-0 run over 3:42, going into halftime with a 5-point lead at 37-72.

Asher Woods led five Green Wave players in double figures with 20 points.

Florida Atlantic freshman center Matas Vokietaitis recorded his first double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
