IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced its men’s basketball conference schedule for the 2024-25 season.
Every team in The American will play 18 league games, including six of its 12 conference opponents twice and the other six once – three at home and three on the road.
The conference slate begins December 31, 2024 with Tulane visiting Charlotte, North Texas hosting 2024 AAC Champion UAB and East Carolina traveling to 2024 American regular season champion South Florida.
The 2024-25 season will be The American’s fifth under its media rights extension with ESPN, which will allow for a minimum of 56 conference-controlled games to be televised on either ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. A minimum of 23 of those games will be on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
In addition, CBS will broadcast one conference-controlled contest.
The remaining conference-controlled games will be on ESPN+, the industry-leading sports streaming service which reaches more than 25 million subscribers and is available at espnplus.com.
All games that are televised on an ESPN network will also be available on the ESPN App with TV Everywhere credentials.
CBS Sports’ broadcast coverage will be available to stream live on Paramount+, with additional coverage on CBS Sports’ digital platforms, including CBSSports.com and CBS Sports HQ.
Four programs earned postseason bids in 2023-24. UAB and Florida Atlantic. North Texas and American regular season champion South Florida competed in the NIT.
The 2025 American Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Championship will take place March 12-16 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. All games of the championship will be televised on the ESPN family of networks.
The American will preview the 2024-25 season Oct. 14 when the league hosts its Basketball Media Day show on ESPN+. Coverage from the Westin Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas in Irving, Texas, will begin at 9 a.m. Eastern.
