Swimming – Sharks Swimming Earns CSCAA Scholar All-American Honors

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) named over 2,000 swimmers and divers to its Scholar All-Americans and Teams for the 2023-24 season. The Nova Southeastern Women’s Swimming program was recognized as a Scholar All-American team with a 3.64 grade-point average and had 14 student-athletes recognized, while the Sharks Men’s Swimming team recorded a 3.41 team GPA and had six honorees.  

To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections, must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a “B” time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet. 

“I’m so proud of our teams efforts over the course of the 2023-24 academic year.  They have embodied what it means to take great care of their academic success.  It’s gratifying to see so many of them earn this prestigious honor knowing how much they’ve sacrificed to get to this point,” stated Head Coach Ben Hewitt. They represent all that is great about being a student-athlete and have shown just how committed our NSU Sharks are to being standouts in and out of the pool.  I want to thank our leadership team and the support we receive from Dr. Deanna Rivero and Rachel Fineberg!” 

The Scholar All-American honorees for the Nova Southeastern Sharks Women’s Swimming program include Audrey Rackel (second-team/Real Estate Development), Bethany Weber (second-team/Exercise and Sport Science), Emilia Ronningdal (first-team/Interdisciplinary Studies), Emily Trieschmann (first-team/Property Management & Real Estate), Estelle Bauer (first-team/Psychology), Grace Gardner (second-team/Marketing), Hailey Williams (first-team/Psychology), Hannah Montgomery (first-team/Marketing), Ilaria Murzilli (first-team/Finance), Isabella Hernandez (second-team/Exercise and Sport Science), May Lowy (first-team/Business Administration), Mollie Morfelt (first-team/Business Administration), Neta Shiff (first-team/Computer Science), and Solana Capalbo (second-team/Engineering).  

The NSU Men’s Swimming program’s Scholar All-American honorees are Gustav Henriksen (first-team/Business Administration), Luca Alessandrini (first-team/Sport & Recreation Management), Marcel Snitko (first-team/Data Analytics), Mateus Ribeiro (first-team/Nutrition), Rhett Moore (second-team/Interdisciplinary Studies), and Umberto Marsic (second-team/Business Administration).
