MIAMI, Fla. – Finishing action in the 2023 TYR Fall Classic hosted by Florida International, the Nova Southeastern swim teams both had strong performances Saturday morning. The women, whose day was highlighted by first-place finishes from Emily Trieschmann (2) and Rafaela Raurich, placed third with 425.5 points. The men, who saw Keith Peristeridis, Inigo Marina (2), Marcel Snitko, and Luca Alessandrini secure first-place finishes, claimed third place with 421 points.

- Emily Trieschmann secured the first win of the day, claiming first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:58.04.
- Emilia Ronningdal took third in the 200 breast with a time of 2:24.71.
- With a time of 2:05.72, May Lowy placed second in the 200 back.
- Trieschmann claimed her second first-place finish of the day, this time in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.73.
- Rafaela Raurich captured first place in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:02.81.
- With a of 2:07.06, Ronningdal placed second in the 200 IM.

- Keith Peristeridis claimed the first victory of the day for the men, winning the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:32.98.
- Inigo Marina secured first place in the 200 breast with a time of 2:00.48.
- With a time of 1:53.38, Gustav Henriksen placed third in the 200 back.
- Marcel Snitko took first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 45.33.
- Luca Alessandrini won the 200 butterfly, beating his competition with a time of 1:51.82.
- Marina took his second first-place finish, this time in the 200 IM with a time of 1:50.92.
Head Coach Ben Hewitt – It was a fun two days of racing. I think our kids competed well, learned from challenges and will utilize lessons learned into the weeks to come. Excited to return home next weekend for the Shark Invite.
The Sharks will be back in the pool on October 13th and 14th for the Shark Invitational at the NSU Aquatic Center.
