FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The back-to-back NCAA Division II National Champion and four-time defending Sunshine State Conference Champion Nova Southeastern Sharks Women’s Swimming team and the NSU Men’s Swimming program are continuing their preparations for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
“We’re excited for the 2024-25 campaign. It should be a fun and rewarding season. We’ve put together a challenging schedule with a range of competitions through the SSC and the region. I feel strongly the schedule will prepare us for the Championship season.” stated Head Swim Coach Ben Hewitt.
Nova Southeastern begins the 2024-25 season as they travel to Florida International to compete in the TYR Fall Classic on October 4th and 5th. NSU hosts its first tri-meet of the season at the NSU Aquatics Center against Florida Atlantic and Barry University on October 11th.
The Sharks then travel to Tampa, Florida to take on the University of Tampa for a head-to-head Sunshine State Conference meet on November 2nd. The Sharks welcome both Florida International and Lynn in a tri-meet at the NSU Aquatics Center on November 8th and 9th. NSU travels to Charlotte, North Carolina, for the 2023 Fall Frenzy at Queens University that begins on 11/21. Nova Southeastern then travels to Miami with a CSCAA Open Water Championships meet at Florida International on December 15th. Nova Southeastern closes out its fall compeitions with a two-day Sunshine State Conference meet against Barry beginning on December 19th.
NSU returns to action in January, hosting Indian River at the NSU Aquatics Center on January 10th. NSU then travels for Sunshine State Conference action on 1/17 against Rollins College followed up with Florida Southern College on 1/18. Before
taking on Keiser back at the NSU Aquatics Center as they close out the regular season on January 24th.
The Sunshine State Conference Championships begin in Ocala, FL., on February 12th and continue through February 15th. The NCAA Division II National Championships start on March 11th and will conclude on March 14th.
