South Florida Men’s Golf – USF Men’s Golf Set to Play in the Windon Memorial Classic

The Bulls tee off in the second event of the 2024-25 campaign.

TAMPA, Fla. (September 28, 2024) – The University of South Florida men’s golf team plays the second tournament of the Fall slate of the 2024-25 season in the Windon Memorial Classic in Lake Forest, Ill. Head Coach Steve Bradley leads the Bulls in his 11th season at the helm and has USF receiving votes in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches Poll.

The 16-team field includes host Northwestern, Arizona (13), Augusta, East Tennessee State, Houston, Illinois (5), Indiana, Kansas (RV), Kentucky, Marquette, Michigan State (RV), Notre Dame (RV), Pepperdine (25), Purdue (RV), South Florida (RV), and UC Davis.

The Bulls will compete at the Conway Farms Golf Club, a course that has hosted multiple PGA Tour events, in Lake Forest, Illinois. Conway Farms is a par-71, 7,432-yard course. The field will play 36 holes Sunday, September 29 beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CST. The final 18 holes will be played on Monday, September 30, with tee times starting at 7:55 a.m. CST. The Bulls will be represented by Jake Peacock, Cooper Smith, Shubham Jaglan, Wilhelm Ryding, and Matthew Joseph.

The USF men’s golf program has captured 19 conference titles and has seen players earn 19 All-America honors. The Bulls have won six American Athletic Conference Tournament championships in wire-to-wire fashion, winning four consecutive from 2015-18. The Bulls have had four individual conference champions, including Albin Bergstrom in 2021, and gone on to earn nine straight NCAA Regional appearances, including a 6th place finish in NCAA Championship match-play in 2015. USF is led by Steve Bradley, who has been named American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year five times since taking over the program in 2014. The Bulls have posted 24 tournament wins under Bradley including three in the 2023-24 season, by far the most under any coach in program history.
