SARASOTA, Fla. – The South Florida Bulls hold a four-stroke lead following 18 holes at the 2025 American Golf Championship at the Ritz-Carlton Members Club in Sarasota, Florida. The Bulls shot 9-under 279, while Memphis finished with the second-best round with 5-under 283.
The average score over the final day was 72.95 over 55 rounds on the par-72, 7,292 yard course. Twenty-three players shot par or better in the opening round, including 19 who shot under par.
The Bulls jumped out to the top of the leaderboards as all five players shot par or better, including their top three scorers shooting under par. Wilhelm Ryding shot 4-under 68 to lead the Bulls, while Subham Jaglan shot 3-under 69 and Jake Peacock shot 2-under 70.
Memphis sits four-strokes back in second place after shooting 5-under 283 and are led by Andrew Baucum, who is tied for the individual leader with a 5-under 67. Diego Lourenco shot 3-under 69, while Cian O’Conner shot even par for the round.
In third place is Charlotte, who shot 4-under 284 as a team. Seb Cave led the 49ers with a 4-under 68 over 18 holes, while Justin Matthews shot 3-under 69.
North Texas sits in fourth place with 3-under 285 as a team. Blake Keen is tied atop the individual leaderboard at 5-under 67, while Alex Huang shot 1-under 71 to finish as the second-best Mean Green scorer.
Florida Atlantic, UTSA and Rice all shot an even 288 as a team to tie for 5th place. Rice’s Raghav Cugh is tied for first place in the individual rankings with a 5-under 67. UTSA’s Brayden Bare and Florida Atlantic’s Biagio Gagliardi led their respective teams, shooting 4-under 68.
Teams will resume the second round of the 2025 American Men’s Golf Championship on Tuesday with tee times expected to begin at 8:30 a.m. (ET).
