CORAL GABLES, FLA. – The University of Miami women’s soccer team fell 1-0 to Syracuse Saturday night at Cobb Stadium.
Syracuse tallied its first ACC victory of the 2025 season and now holds an overall record of 5-6-4 with a 1-5-1 standing in ACC play.The Canes are 6-5-3 overall and 0-5-1 in the ACC.
Miami goalkeepers Emily Bredek and Atlee Olofson each secured two saves for a combined four on the game. Bredek kept the Canes scoreless in the first half while Olofson was caught in the 77th minute by a breakaway goal from Syracuse’s Mia Klammer.
Despite the result, Miami outshot Syracuse 16 to 13 and came away with 12 corner kicks compared to Syracuse’s six. Offensively, Crosby Nicholson led the Canes with four shots, followed by Moira Flynn with three.
The Canes will remain at home and host the Golden Bears on Thursday, October 16. Kickoff against Cal is set for 7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
