- The INDIANAPOLIS COLTS overcame a 14-point deficit to defeat Green Bay, 34-31, in overtime in Week 11. With two games remaining in Week 11, there have been 12 games in which a team has overcome a deficit of at least 14 points to win this season, tied with the 1996 (12) and 1979 (12) seasons for the third-most such games through Week 11 in NFL history. Only the 1987 (15 games) and 2011 (14) seasons had more.
The 2020 season joins 2015 as the only seasons in which a team has overcome a deficit of at least 13 points to win in each of the first 11 weeks of a season in NFL history.
The TENNESSEE TITANS overcame an 11-point deficit to defeat Baltimore, 30-24, in overtime. With two games remaining in Week 11, there have been 33 games in which a team has overcome a deficit of at least 10 points to win this season, the most through Week 11 in NFL history.
Tennessee running back DERRICK HENRY rushed for 133 yards, including the game-winning 29-yard touchdown in overtime, on Sunday.
Henry, who also registered a five-yard touchdown run in overtime in Week 6, is the first player with multiple overtime rushing touchdowns in a single season in NFL history. - The PITTSBURGH STEELERS advanced to 10-0 for the first time in franchise history with a 27-3 win over Jacksonville on Sunday and are the first team to win their first 10 games of the season since 2015 [CAROLINA (14-0) and NEW ENGLAND (10-0)].
Pittsburgh rookie wide receiver CHASE CLAYPOOL had a touchdown reception in Week 11 and has 10 touchdowns (eight receiving, two rushing) this season.
Claypool is the first wide receiver in the Super Bowl era and the fourth in league history with at least 10 touchdowns in his first 10 career games, joining BILLY HOWTON (11 touchdowns in 1952), BILL GROMAN (10 in 1960) and HARLON HILL (10 in 1954). - Los Angeles Chargers rookie quarterback JUSTIN HERBERT passed for a career-high 366 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions for a 116.5 rating while while wide receiver KEENAN ALLEN had a career-high 16 receptions for 145 yards and one touchdown in the Chargers’ 34-28 win over the New York Jets.
Herbert has five games with at least three touchdown passes this season, the most by a rookie in NFL history.
Herbert, who has 22 touchdown passes this season, is the first rookie quarterback with at least two touchdown passes in seven consecutive games in NFL history.
Herbert reached 20 touchdown passes in his ninth career game, tied with GEORGE RATTERMAN (nine games) as the fourth-fastest player to reach the mark in NFL history. Only PATRICK MAHOMES (eight games), Pro Football Hall of Famer KURT WARNER (eight) and DESHAUN WATSON (eight) reached 20 career touchdown passes in fewer games.
Herbert has five 300-yard passing games this season, tied with JOE BURROW (2020), DANIEL JONES (2019) and KYLER MURRAY (2019) for the second-most 300-yard passing games by a rookie quarterback in NFL history. Only ANDREW LUCK (six games in 2012) has more.
Allen is the fifth player in NFL history with at least 15 receptions in two career games, joining ANTONIO BROWN, BRANDON MARSHALL, WES WELKER and JASON WITTEN.
Allen has six career games with at least 13 receptions, surpassing ANTONIO BROWN (five games) and WES WELKER (five) for the most in NFL history. - Houston quarterback DESHAUN WATSON passed for 344 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions for a 121.9 rating and added a rushing touchdown in the Texans’ 27-20 win over New England.
Watson is the fifth quarterback to record three games with at least 300 passing yards, two touchdown passes and a rushing touchdown in his first four seasons in NFL history, joining DAUNTE CULPEPPER (four games), JOSH ALLEN (three), JEFF GARCIA (three) and CHARLEY JOHNSON (three). - New Orleans wide receiver MICHAEL THOMAS had nine receptions for 104 yards while running back ALVIN KAMARA rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown in the Saints’ 24-9 win over Atlanta.
Thomas has 489 career receptions and surpassed JARVIS LANDRY (481) for the most receptions by a player in his first five seasons in NFL history.
Kamara has 531 rushing yards and 648 receiving yards this season and is the first player with at least 500 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards in each of his first four seasons in NFL history. He is also the sixth running back with four-or-more consecutive seasons with at least 500 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards in the Super Bowl era. - Jacksonville rookie running back JAMES ROBINSON had 94 scrimmage yards (73 rushing, 21 receiving) in Week 11.
Robinson has 1,011 scrimmage yards this season and is the fifth undrafted rookie with at least 1,000 scrimmage yards in the common-draft era, joining DOMINIC RHODES (1,328 scrimmage yards in 2001), PHILLIP LINDSAY (1,278 in 2018), CLARK GAINES (1,124 in 1976) and LEGARRETTE BLOUNT (1,021 in 2010).
- Dallas running back EZEKIEL ELLIOTT rushed for 103 yards and had a touchdown reception in the Cowboys’ 31-28 win over Minnesota.
Elliott, who has 45 rushing touchdowns and 10 receiving touchdowns during his five-year career, is the fifth player with at least 45 rushing touchdowns and 10 receiving touchdowns in his first five seasons in NFL history, joining SHAUN ALEXANDER, Pro Football Hall of Famer MARCUS ALLEN, CHUCK FOREMAN and TODD GURLEY. - Other notable performances from Sunday include:
- New York Jets running back FRANK GORE had 71 scrimmage yards (61 rushing, 10 receiving) and a rushing touchdown on Sunday.
Gore, who has 505 scrimmage yards this season, has at least 500 scrimmage yards in each of his 16 NFL seasons, tied with LARRY FITZGERALD (16 seasons) and Pro Football Hall of Famer TONY GONZALEZ (16) for the second-most such seasons in NFL history. Only Pro Football Hall of Famer JERRY RICE (18 seasons) has more. - Green Bay wide receiver DAVANTE ADAMS had seven receptions for 106 yards and one touchdown against Indianapolis on Sunday.
Adams is the fourth player in NFL history with at least seven receptions and a touchdown catch in five consecutive games, joining Pro Football Hall of Famer CRIS CARTER (1999), T.J. HOUSHMANDZADEH (2007) and ADAM THIELEN (2018). - Making his first career NFL start, Carolina quarterback P.J. WALKER passed for 258 yards in the Panthers’ 20-0 win over Detroit.
Carolina is the first team to record a shutout for a quarterback making his first career start since Week 3 of the 2016 season, when New England shutout Houston, 27-0, in JACOBY BRISSETT‘s first career start. - Cleveland defensive end OLIVIER VERNON registered three sacks, including a safety, while linebacker SIONE TAKITAKI had a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown in the Browns’ 22-17 win over Philadelphia.
Cleveland, who also recorded a safety and an interception return for a touchdown in Week 5, is the fourth team to accomplish the feat twice in a single season in NFL history, joining the 1997 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS, 1996 NEW YORK GIANTS and 1947 PITTSBURGH STEELERS.
- New York Jets running back FRANK GORE had 71 scrimmage yards (61 rushing, 10 receiving) and a rushing touchdown on Sunday.
