BOCA RATON, Fla. – Graduate Trinity Schlotterbeck and Sophomore Jesiana Mora were named NFCA All-Region, announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.
One of the 13 NFCA First Team All-Region, Schlotterbeck was named as a utility/pitcher. She has pitched a total of 137.0 innings with a 16-6 record on the season. Schlotterbeck has thrown nine complete games, four of them being shutouts. Being a dual threat, she is going into the NCAA Regional with a .299 batting average. Schlotterbeck leads the Owls in home runs (10) and runs batted in (47). She set a program record of three home runs and nine RBI in a game against Wichita State earlier in the season.
The third baseman Mora was named Second Team All-Region. Mora leads the Owls with a .393 batting average on the season. She has appeared in all 55 games this season at third base. Mora has been a big piece in the Florida Atlantic lineup, leading the Owls in hits (64) and stolen bases (17). She was also named AAC All-Conference Second Team.
The Owls will take on South Alabama in the NCAA Gainesville Regional on Friday, May 17, at 2:30 p.m.
