GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Atlantic’s softball team will begin its journey in the NCAA Gainesville Regional on Friday, May 17 at 2:30 p.m. EST for game one against South Alabama. The game will air on ESPN+.
The No. 3 seeded Owls are on their way to an NCAA postseason appearance for the first time since 2016. This marks the 12th NCAA appearance for Florida Atlantic.
The Owls will enter postseason play with a 41-14 overall record and 41 in the RPI rankings. Florida Atlantic returns to Gainesville for the sixth time in program history in a postseason appearance.
THE RUNDOWN
The last time the Owls took on South Alabama was in March of 2020 at a neutral site. The series history dates back to March 31, 2007, when the Owls won 1-0 in nine innings. Florida Atlantic leads the series 15-10. This will be the first time in program history that these two teams meet in NCAA postseason play.

- Junior Ainsley Lambert leads the pitching staff with 34 appearances on the season
- Lambert is ranked No. 5 in the nation in saves (8)
- Outfielder Presley Leebrick leads the team in walks (45)
- Ranked No. 13 in the nation, Kamryn Jackson has registered 17 hit by pitches this season
- Rookie of the Year Kiley Channell is on a six-game hitting streak
- As a team, Florida Atlantic has registered 107 multi-hit games.
