If you like to shop at the Publix at the Ramblewood Square in Coral Springs you will have to find a new location for the next year. The Publix at the corner of Ramblewood and North University Drive will close for one year starting on May 7. The building which has stood for 33 years will be demolished and a replacement store will be built. It will reopen in 2023. The general contractor will be J Raymond Construction Corp. The new building will hold bigger Publix and a Ross Dress for Leisure. The new Publix will include 54,000 square feet over the older structure which is 48,000 square feet. The new Publix will face west. The northern wing of the building will remain but get a 15,000 square foot extension. Two new outbuildings will be built and will hold a Starbucks, Aspen Dental and Coolgreens. Publix store personnel will have the opportunity to work at nearby stores.
