PANTHERS POSTGAME QUOTES

Forward Carter Verhaeghe

On the momentum shift after tonight’s game:

“All series we’ve been kind of struggling with some stuff and I think we finally had our best game of the series. I think we’re going to keep on building. [This gives us] something to build on.”

Forward Sam Reinhart

On his first career playoff goal:

“Those are the kind of situations you want to be in as a hockey player. It’s a game that can really go either way at the end of it. We stuck with it. We’re happy with the result and obviously a much better feeling going back home 2-2, as opposed to 3-1.”Forward Aleksander Barkov

On tying the series:

“Obviously right now, all the emotions are about this game. But [we’ll] cool down and start thinking about the next game as soon as possible. Glad to go home with the series evened 2-2. Just keep working, keep getting better and keep finding the ways to win.”

Interim Head Coach Andrew Brunette

On tonight’s performance in the face of adversity:
“We’ve kind of shown that all year, the resilience. We stuck to our game, which we’ve done all year. I think it got away from us, a little bit, the other day. Today I thought, from the start, we kind of got into our flow a little bit. Things were looking a little shaky at the end but we showed a lot of poise. And again the resilience that we’ve shown all season long came through there at the end.”
