PANTHERS POSTGAME QUOTES

Forward Eetu Luostarinen

On his play during playoffs:

“I like harder games and the physicality is there and I just got to keep playing like I have been playing and that is going to work for me.”

Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky

On looking ahead to the next game:

“It is what it is right now. We just have to reset, regroup, refocus and get ready for the next game.  We have to stay together, stay composed and get ready for the next game.”

On the game tonight:

“Obviously, everyone is disappointed. It was quiet, but all the guys are [professionals]. Everybody understands that next game is big. We can make a difference in the future, not in the past and that is it. We have to stay together and keep working.”

Interim Head Coach Andrew Brunette

On the game tonight:
“Obviously it’s really hard—it’s not easy. It’s one of those things that hurts. But it’s a rollercoaster ride that we’re in and we have to wake up, the sun will come up, and we have to keep playing like we’re playing. I really liked our game—I liked most of our Game 1. A learning experience, again, against a team that doesn’t give you too many openings and we kind of gave away one there.”

On a Panthers team built for comebacks:
“I think there’s going to be a good feeling with the way we played. Again, there’s disappointment, but it’s the ups and downs of a playoff series—you got to let it go and focus for the next game. Win a game and keep going from there.”

On the goaltending in this series:
“Both [goalies] were great. I thought it was a great hockey game. A lot of intensity. Both teams played hard, goaltending was great, and they got one at the end.”

“[Bobrovsky’s] been great all playoffs. We feel good with that. We’ve got to just go back to work and find a way to win a hockey game.”
