SULLIVAN’S STATEMENTS
Opening statement:
“First of all, I want to give thanks to Bre [Beck] and Rita [Pleskevich]. It’s tough losing on Senior Day,” said Jennifer Sullivan. “I want to applaud all they have given to this program and to this team. Obviously not the result we wanted, but at least we get to play this team again. I think the biggest thing is defense and getting stops. We need to be better defensively… So we will just regroup and go on to the next one.”

Looking ahead to Saturday’s game:
“We have a pretty decent idea of who they are. It’s one thing to watch them on film, but then it’s another thing to see it.”

What she has learned from her first season:
“I love the heart and fight of this team. I really do. Right now, it’s a real challenge because we are dealing with a lot of injuries, kids coming in and out of the rotation… Obviously we will look at a lot of things during the offseason, but I love the heart and soul of this team. I love that they never quit and I would love to carry that on going to next season.”

UP NEXT
The Owls will close out the regular season on Saturday at FIU for a noon tipoff. The official C-USA Championship bracket will be announced on Saturday evening following the conclusion of all regular season league games.
