Oakland Park library contest

From David Volz

The City of Oakland Park has announced the winner of our Library Card Design Contest: Livia C., a talented student at Northeast High School whose creative design captured the spirit of our community and love for learning.

The city received over 100 amazing submissions from students across the city, showcasing incredible creativity and artistic talent. It was inspiring to see so many young residents participate and share their visions for this special project. Livia’s winning design will be featured on our new library cards starting in January and will be available to all Oakland Park library patrons while supplies last. Congratulations to Livia, and thank you to all the students who participated and shared your creativity with the city’s residents.

The City of Oakland Park wants to make this a wonderful holiday season for kids in our community. You can help by donating a new, unwrapped toy for a boy or girl, infant to 15 years old, November 20th through December 11th, 2024. Toys will be donated to the Light of the World Clinic and shared with children in our community. See information about the Light of the World Clinic below.
