FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA.– As the new year approaches, head coach Julie LeMaire and the Nova Southeastern softball team have officially announced their 2023 schedule, kicking things off Fri., Feb. 3 at home.
After an impressive 2022 season, the Sharks look to pick up right where they left off. NSU will compete in 55 games this spring, with a majority of their matches taking place at the AD Griffin Sports Complex.
LeMaire and company will make their season debut in a double-header against Alabama-Hunstville, following both games the Sharks will play 10 straight games at home to get the 2023 season rolling.
NSU will then begin Sunshine State Conference action on Feb. 17, in their first road matchup against Florida Tech. After the three-game stint against the Panthers, the Sharks will return home to take on Rollins in another SSC showdown.
A bulk of Nova’s SSC matchups will begin March 24th at home in a three-game series against Tampa, the contests will kick off the first of seven consecutive SSC series to round out the regular season.
The Sharks will matchup with Saint Leo (Mar. 31-Apr. 1), Embry-Riddle (Apr. 6-7), Florida Southern (Apr.14-15), Lynn (Apr.21-22), Barry (Apr. 28-29), and Eckerd (May 5-6).
NSU will conclude the regular season at home against Eckerd on May 6.
