JACKSONVILLE, Fla. –The Jaguars Media Network today announced two key roster additions to its 2022 lineup of Jaguars insiders with the addition of NFL Network Analyst Bucky Brooks and Jaguars outside linebacker Josh Allen. Allen and Brooks will contribute to nearly 15 hours of weekly team-produced content that streams across the Jaguars Digital Network, airs on the team’s flagship radio station 1010XL and appears on CBS47 and FOX30, the official TV stations of the Jaguars.
Brooks joins the Jaguars’ game day radio team as a field analyst, reporting from the sidelines while his former teammates, Jeff Lageman and Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Boselli, add color from the booth. Frank Frangie will continue to handle play-by-play duties. Brooks will also host his own weekly digital show, “Huddle Up with Bucky Brooks,” and continue to contribute written content on Jaguars.com and the Jaguars app.
“After spending the last couple of years working with the Jaguars in several different roles, I’m thrilled to be a permanent member of the game day radio broadcast, especially alongside my former teammates, Tony and Jeff,” Brooks said. “Working for an organization for which I once played is an honor, and I want to give our passionate fans the insight and analysis they expect and deserve.”
Brooks has worked for NFL Network for 14 years and has appeared on FOX Sports, FOX Sports Radio and FOX Sports Digital. Prior to his media career, Brooks was drafted by the Bills in 1994 and played five seasons in the NFL, including two seasons with the Jaguars (1996-97). Following his playing career, he worked in the pro personnel departments with the Seahawks and Panthers.
In addition to radio and digital appearances, Brooks will serve as the TV color commentator alongside Jaguars Senior Correspondent Brian Sexton for Jacksonville’s preseason contests against Cleveland (Aug. 12, WFOX), Pittsburgh (Aug. 20, WFOX) and at Atlanta (Aug. 27, WJAX).
The Jaguars also announced that 2019 Pro Bowler and two-time team captain Josh Allen will serve as the player host on “Jaguars All Access” presented by Fields Auto Group. Allen will host the show alongside Action News Jax Sports Director Brent Martineau, Lageman and Jaguars Team Reporter and Host Ashlyn Sullivan. The show is produced live every Thursday at Strings Sports Brewery in Springfield, and Allen’s first appearance is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 8.
“I was a guest on Jaguars All Access as a rookie in 2019 and loved the energy of the crowd,” Allen said. “I’m excited to co-host the show this year and bring our fans closer to the action with some player perspective. I plan to bring a few teammates with me and have a little fun with our fans, so I hope everyone will either come out and be a part of the show or watch at home all season long.”
Brooks and Allen join a deep lineup of Jaguars Media Network reporters that also includes Senior Writer John Oehser, Senior Reporter and Editor J.P. Shadrick and CBS Senior Sports Writer Pete Prisco.
