NFL and Paramount Drop SpongeBob Collaboration in Brazil

NFL x SpongeBob Capsule to Include Apparel, Headwear, Drinkware and Mobile Accessories, Available Starting Sept. 5  
Collaboration Will Reach Fans Across Latin America
 

SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – Sept. 2, 2025 – To celebrate the 2025 National Football League season and the 2025 NFL São Paulo game, the NFL and Paramount Consumer Products have collaborated to drop the official NFL x SpongeBob collection — reaching fans across Latin America.

The unique range will debut in Brazil this week and will feature each of the playing teams in the 2025 São Paulo game — the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers — among others.

The NFL x SpongeBob collection includes bespoke t-shirts, hoodies, caps and accessories highlighting SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star playfully competing in American football.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Paramount to produce an incredibly fun SpongeBob SquarePants inspired collection celebrating the playful spirit of football and the 2025 NFL São Paulo game,” said Vice President International Consumer Products at the NFL Salha Latif. “As the NFL continues to prioritize our international growth, we look forward to bringing our passionate fans across Latin America unique ways they can represent their love of the game.”  

As part of the NFL’s Global Markets Program (GMP), all 32 NFL teams hold international marketing rights in various territories around the world to build brand awareness and fandom outside of the U.S.

NFL x SpongeBob merchandise featuring the four GMP teams that hold rights in Brazil — the Detroit Lions, the Miami Dolphins, the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles — will also drop this week across the market.

To continue momentum with fans across the region, NFL x SpongeBob product will also be available in Mexico from October. The capsule collection in Mexico will feature clubs that have GMP rights across the market, including: the Arizona Cardinals, the Dallas Cowboys, the Denver Broncos, the Houston Texans, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Las Vegas Raiders, the Los Angeles Rams, the Miami Dolphins, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the San Francisco 49ers.

The NFL x SpongeBob collection will be available in Brazil on Sept. 5 across NFL Shop locations at Corinthians Arena. The collaboration will be integrated across NFL Flag activities and tournaments all week long in São Paulo, in lead up to the game.

In addition, the partnership will be featured during the 2025 NFL RUN taking place at Parque Villa-Lobos on Sept. 7 with 2 km and 5 km races. When choosing a kit with their favorite NFL team’s jersey, participants can add an exclusive t-shirt from the NFL x SpongeBob collection to their purchase. Options include designs from the Eagles, Lions, Patriots, Dolphins, Chargers and Chiefs. During the event, SpongeBob and Patrick will also host a fun meet & greet with runners.

The Kansas City Chiefs will play the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday, Sept. 5 in São Paulo at Corinthians Arena in the city’s second NFL regular season international game, where SpongeBob and Patrick will also be onsite.

With a legion of fans, the famous sea sponge is a true multiplatform pop icon – a hit on TV, in theaters, online and at events of all kinds, as well as in experiences and licensed products sold around the world.

SpongeBob SquarePants is available on Nickelodeon and on Paramount’s streaming services, Paramount+ and Pluto TV (on the exclusive SpongeBob SquarePants channel).
