DETROIT – The Motor City Cruise, G League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, will be hosting a local player tryout on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Players who register will have the opportunity to compete for an invitation to Cruise training camp beginning in November.
Tryouts will be held at the Henry Ford Detroit Pistons Performance Center where members of the Cruise and Pistons front office and coaching staff will be running operations while performing full evaluations of all participating players. This tryout will serve as an opportunity for players in and around the Detroit area to come and showcase their abilities while participating in high-level drills and scrimmages.
All tryout participants must pre-register and pay the $250 non-refundable tryout fee. In accordance with the G League, all participants must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 24 hours of the open tryout date. The registration deadline for the tryout is Friday, September 9, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. EST.
