MOTOR CITY CRUISE ACQUIRE RETURNING RIGHTS TO FORWARD FERON HUNT

Cruise sends 2026 first-round pick to Oklahoma City Blue as part of three-team exchange

DETROIT – The Motor City Cruise, NBA G League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, announced today the completion of a trade in which the club acquired the returning rights to forward Feron Hunt from the Cleveland Charge. As part of a three-team deal, the Cruise sent a 2026 first-round pick to the Oklahoma City Blue.

Hunt, 6-8, 195, is entering his fifth season in the NBA G League. This past season with Cleveland, he appeared in 48 games and averaged 15.9 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 blocks in 30.1 minutes per contest. In his G League career, Hunt holds averages of 15.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 31.4 minutes per game. Additionally, during the 2021-22 season, Hunt made two NBA appearances with the New York Knicks.

In addition to his G League experience, Hunt spent time internationally and in exhibition competitions. Prior to the 2025-26 campaign, he signed with Gladiadores de Anzoátegui (Venezuela), where he averaged 15.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He also represented G League United at the 2025 B.League Global Invitational in Japan, where the team advanced to the FIBA Intercontinental Cup Finals. Across international play in 2025, Hunt combined to average 16.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.

A native of DeSoto, Texas, Hunt played three seasons at Southern Methodist University (SMU). In 78 collegiate games, he averaged 9.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 26.3 minutes per game, earning All-AAC Third Team honors during the 2020-21 season.

As part of today’s three-team trade, the Cleveland Charge received the returning rights to forward Miller Kopp.
