Michigan Announces 2025-26 Student Season Ticket Pricing

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The University of Michigan Athletic Department announced Friday (Feb. 7) the season ticket information and pricing for enrolled students during the 2025-26 academic year. The student purchase deadline for football is March 28. Men’s basketball and ice hockey student tickets will be available for students to purchase in early September.

Returning U-M students that purchased a football season ticket or were on the football waitlist for the 2024-25 academic year will have the opportunity to purchase football tickets from March 17 through March 21. If demand exceeds supply for students who purchase during this time, a three-game ticket pack will be implemented based on student priority points from the 2024 season.

Pending availability, returning U-M students who did not purchase football season tickets and were not on the football waitlist for the 2024-25 academic year, will have the opportunity to purchase football season tickets between March 25 through March 28. This second on-sale period is subject to availability based on demand from the first on-sale period. Once inventory is depleted, returning students will be able to join a waitlist to be considered for tickets after the incoming student sale in July. If inventory isn’t available on March 25, the waitlist will automatically be available to join.

The student ticket price for football increases to $29 per game. With six home games during the 2025 season, the total is $174 ($90 need-based) for the Wolverines’ home schedule.

The need-based program provides reduced-priced tickets for students who meet Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria. The process for reduced pricing will be communicated to those eligible students by the Office of Financial Aid. Michigan’s need-based ticketing model has an application deadline of February 21.

Men’s basketball and ice hockey student tickets will be available for students to purchase in early September.

New this year, students will have the opportunity to purchase the official season T-shirt online with their football season ticket. The t-shirt will be $15 and will be available to pick up in the fall.

Following is the pricing for the three sports and the need-based pricing:

Sport2025-26 PriceFederal Pell Grant Eligible Price
Football$174$90
Men’s Basketball$175$105
Ice Hockey$175$105

There will be a $15 processing fee applied to the order.

Newly enrolled students (for the 2025-26 academic year) will have the opportunity to purchase football student tickets between June 16-23.

Students can attend any other Michigan varsity sporting event (excludes men’s basketball and ice hockey) free of charge with a valid Mcard.

Like past seasons for football, attendance points from the 2024 season will determine student seating. Students with the highest point totals will be seated lower in the student section. Students who did not receive attendance points in 2024 will be seated higher in the student section but still lower than incoming students for 2025.

For each football game that students attend, they will receive three (3) attendance points. Students receive an additional three (3) points for arriving (ticket scanned) 30 minutes before the game. Any students who transfer their tickets will receive three (3) points maximum. Students who received a ticket pack for the 2024 season will have their points doubled.

Students can earn up to 30 points for the 2025 football season, equivalent to arriving at five (5) games at least 30 minutes before kickoff. The lowest point game for each student is dropped.
