MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have re-signed safety Adrian Colbert and signed the following 10 unrestricted free agents: safety Clayton Fejedelem (Cincinnati), guard Ereck Flowers (Washington), linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill (Philadelphia), running back Jordan Howard (Philadelphia), cornerback Byron Jones (Dallas), center Ted Karras (New England), defensive end Shaq Lawson (Buffalo), defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah (Kansas City), linebacker Elandon Roberts (New England) and linebacker Kyle Van Noy (New England).
Colbert joined the Dolphins on Nov. 20, 2019 and played in six games with five starts last season. He totaled 20 tackles (14 solo), two passes defensed and two special teams stops for Miami. Colbert also spent time with Seattle in 2019. He played two seasons (2017-18) for San Francisco after they drafted him in the seventh round (229th overall) of the 2017 NFL draft. For his career, Colbert has played in 27 games with 17 starts, totaling 72 tackles (58 solo), eight passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He finished his collegiate career at the University of Miami.
Fejedelem (pronounced FEDGE-uh-lemm) has played in all 64 games of his four-year NFL career (2016-19), all with Cincinnati. He has recorded 80 tackles (55 solo), one interception, two passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in his career. Fejedelem also has 36 career special teams stops (21 solo). He originally entered the NFL as a seventh-round pick (245th overall) by Cincinnati in the 2016 NFL draft.
Flowers has played in 75 career games with 71 starts since entering the NFL as a first-round pick (ninth overall) by the N.Y. Giants in the 2015 NFL draft. He started all 16 games at left guard last year for Washington. Flowers is a Miami native and attended Norland Senior High School in Miami Gardens, where he helped the school win the 2011 state championship. He went on to play collegiately at the University of Miami, where he was a second-team All-ACC selection as a junior in 2014.
Grugier-Hill (pronounced KAH-moo GREW-jay Hill) has played in 54 career games with 16 starts over four seasons (2016-19) with Philadelphia. He has totaled 66 career tackles (49 solo), one sack, one interception, two passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Grugier-Hill also has 30 career special teams stops (25 solo). He helped the Eagles win Super Bowl LII at the end of the 2017 season. Grugier-Hill originally entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick (208th overall) by New England in the 2016 NFL draft.
Howard has played in 57 career games with 48 starts over the past four seasons. He spent three years with Chicago (2016-18) and one with Philadelphia (2019). Howard has totaled 897 career carries for 3,895 yards (4.3 avg.) and 30 touchdowns. Through the air, he’s added 82 receptions for 637 yards (7.8 avg.) and two receiving touchdowns. As a rookie in 2016, Howard was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team and earned a Pro Bowl selection after totaling 1,313 rushing yards. He originally entered the NFL as a fifth-round pick (150th overall) by Chicago in the 2016 NFL draft.
Jones has played in 79 career games with 73 starts, missing just one game in his five seasons with Dallas (2015-19). He totaled 326 tackles (251 solo), two interceptions, 44 passes defensed and three forced fumbles. Jones was selected to the Pro Bowl following the 2018 season and earned second-team All-Pro honors that year after he posted 65 tackles (54 solo) and 14 passes defensed. He originally entered the NFL as a first-round pick (27th overall) by Dallas in the 2015 NFL draft.
Karras (pronounced CARE-us) has played in 60 NFL games with 20 starts over four seasons (2016-19) with New England. He started 15 games at center in 2019 and was also the starting center for the AFC Wild Card game vs. Tennessee. In his four seasons with the Patriots, Karras helped the team win two Super Bowls (LI and LIII). He originally entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick (221st overall) by New England in the 2016 NFL draft.
Lawson played in 50 games with 17 starts over the past four seasons (2016-19) with Buffalo. He totaled 108 tackles (63 solo), 16.5 sacks, 10 passes defensed and five forced fumbles. Lawson had a career-high 6.5 sacks in 2019. He originally entered the NFL as a first-round pick (19th overall) by Buffalo in the 2016 NFL draft.
Ogbah (pronounced AWG-buh) has played in 50 career games with 44 starts over his four-year NFL career. He spent his first three seasons in Cleveland (2016-18) and last year in Kansas City (2019), where he helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl LIV. Ogbah has posted 154 career tackles (93 solo), 18 sacks, 20 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick (32nd overall) by Cleveland in the 2016 NFL draft.
Roberts has played in 60 career games with 33 starts over four seasons (2016-19) with New England. He has totaled 202 tackles (118 solo), four sacks, six passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Roberts has also played in 10 postseason games with seven starts and helped the Patriots win Super Bowls LI and LIII. He originally entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick (214th overall) by New England in the 2016 NFL draft.
Van Noy has played in 81 career games with 52 starts in six NFL seasons (2014-19). He has 279 tackles (192 solo), 17.5 sacks, two interceptions, 10 passes defensed, five forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in his career. Van Noy joined New England in a midseason trade from Detroit in 2016. In his three-plus seasons with the Patriots, Van Noy won two Super Bowls (LI and LIII). He originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick (40th overall) by Detroit in the 2014 NFL draft.
