“ME” Monday® 8-31-2020 Healthy Boundaries 

Change is Constant. 

Hope can be Habit-changing.

Our lives have been changing a bit more than we may be accustom to. 

How would it feel if we perceive change as an opportunity for exciting, new experiences? What might that look like? How might that feel? 

There is no doubt that we have all experienced many unanticipated changes during these last few months. Changes we could not have been prepared for. Many of us are still figuring out how to make the necessary shifts. 

If we look again at John Wooden’s quote, what comes to mind? 

What might get in the way of doing what we can do? Why might this be important? What might we want instead? 

Recently, I had the honor of speaking with a young gentleman who shared his experiences over these past few months. It was invigorating to hear him describe that although the stay-at-home- order was limiting, he took the opportunity to get closer to his family by spending more time with them. His expressions of gratitude for having the time to get to know his family better were profound and also led to his strong desire for deeper self-exploration. His perspective led him to 

create great habit changes that fuel his energy, motivation, and more fulfillment each day. Though change brought some hardships, it also brought several possibilities! He opted to invoke his power of choice to make “change” a positive experience. 

So, what if we perceive CHANGE as an opportunity to make great choices? 

What if we choose to create the way we CAN do the things we want rather then allowing the things we can’t do to stop us in our tracks? 

Does it ever feel like you’re ‘stopped in your tracks’ when you consider planning some “ME” time? 

What stops you? What feels important about this? 

If you had a short amount of time on a distinct day each week to plan something special for yourself, how would that feel? 

Don’t allow things that may stop you from choosing what you want and can do for yourself. “ME” Monday® is a day every week that has been put on the calendar especially for you! Plan some special “ME” time this Monday. You deserve it! #ME-Monday
