BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic and Auburn announced this week a men’s basketball preseason exhibition game to be played on Friday, Nov. 1 at Auburn’s Neville Arena at 8 p.m.

The game will benefit Auburn University’s Melton Scholars Program and mark the Owls first visit to Auburn since 1994. NCAA rules mandate that for an exhibition game between two Division I teams, the host school must sell tickets and donate the proceeds to a designated charity.

FAU announced its non-conference schedule this week, with the Owls also hosting a preseason exhibition game versus Saint Leo University on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.

Head Coach John Jakus officially begins his FAU career when the regular season begins Monday, Nov. 4 versus Indiana State at Wooden Family Fieldhouse in Xenia, Ohio. The home opener versus the College of Coastal Georgia is Friday, Nov. 8 at Baldwin Arena.
