DENTON, Texas – The Florida Atlantic’s men’s basketball team fell to North Texas in a 77-64 defeat on Sunday afternoon.
With the loss, the Owls move to 10-10 on the season, 3-4 in American Athletic Conference play after facing a Mean Green team sitting at the top of the conference with a record of 15-4, 6-1 AAC.
FIRST HALF
The Owls offense came alive with 13 straight points from players off the bench, with sophomore forward Kaleb Glenn scoring eight of them.
Florida Atlantic prevented a Mean Green score for over four minutes, while in turn going on a 11-0 run to take a 12-point lead. Graduate guard KyKy Tandy drilled back-to-back three-pointers while junior forward Baba Miller added two triples of his own, with the team shooting 50% from beyond the arc in the opening 20 minutes. Glenn nailed a jumper at the halftime buzzer to give Florida Atlantic a 34-27 advantage entering the locker room.
SECOND HALF
FAU attacked the paint for their first four scores of the final period. The Mean Green clawed their way back to take the lead and held on for the last 11 minutes.
Glenn continued to lead the charge to score nine points in the second half, including the Owls’ lone triple of the period.

- Glenn recorded the third 20+ point outing of his career, all coming this season
- Redshirt junior forward Tre Carroll added 10 points. He has now scored in double figures for six consecutive games
- Miller and Glenn led the team with seven rebounds each
- Tandy has made a team-high 45 triples on the season
- The Owls shot a season-high 86.7% from the free throw line, going 13-for-15
