IRVING, Texas – The American Conference announced the conference schedule for the Florida Atlantic men’s basketball team’s 2025-26 slate on Wednesday afternoon, with tipoff times to be announced later.
Florida Atlantic enters its third season in the American after recording seven consecutive winning seasons. Head Coach John Jakus enters his second year at the helm for the Owls with ten new faces and five returners on the squad.
The 2025-26 season is presented by Phil Smith Kia/Phil Smith Acura.
SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN
The Owls will take on UTSA on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena to kick off conference play and close out the last game of 2025 in the Elly. To start 2026, FAU will play two road games at Tulane (Jan. 4) and UAB (Jan. 7).
Fans will have the opportunity to pack the Elly another eight times during league play against Memphis (Jan. 11), Wichita State (Jan. 15), Tulane (Jan. 21), East Carolina (Feb. 1), Tulsa (Feb. 4), South Florida (Feb. 15), Temple (Feb. 25), and close out conference play at home against Charlotte (March 1) before traveling to close out the regular season.
Florida Atlantic will have an additional seven road games versus Temple (Jan. 18), South Florida (Jan. 25), Memphis (Jan. 29), Rice (Feb. 11), UTSA (Feb. 18), North Texas (Feb. 22), and Wichita State (March 7). The Owls will close out conference play on the road for the first time since joining the American.
The 2026 American Athletic Conference Championships will again take place in Birmingham, Alabama, at Legacy Arena At The BJCC from March 11-15.
