M-GOLF | Owls Take 9th at Challenging Auburn Tiger Invite

3/13/2024 | Men’s GolfAUBURN, Ala. – Florida Atlantic men’s golf finished ninth at the Auburn Tiger Invite on Tuesday in Alabama. The Auburn University Club continued to show its teeth with a second straight day of the average score hovering around 80 on the par 72. The Owls finished with a 54-hole team total of 927 (+63). The tournament hosts, Auburn, finished first with a total 880 (+16).On the individual side, Auburn’s J.M. Butler earned medalist honors at +2 despite a final round 77. No one in the field broke 70 in any of the three rounds.

The senior has been the Owls’ best finisher in all seven events he’s competed in this season.Tuesday started with the completion of Monday’s second round where Jack Wehle had three holes to finish. The junior played those three holes in even par with a birdie, a par, and a bogey to sign for a 74.
