| 3/23/2024 | Men’s Golf WILMINGTON, N.C. – Florida Atlantic men’s golf will compete in the UNCW Seahawk Intercollegiate beginning Sunday in Wilmington, N.C. This is the penultimate event of the spring before the American Conference Championship begins on April 19. This weekend’s event is 54 holes starting with 36 on Sunday. The Lineup Max Sturdza has been the Owls’ best finisher in all seven tournaments he’s competed in this season. The senior will lead off again in North Carolina. Sturdza is nearing the culmination of a historic career. He’s claimed several program records already including career rounds of par or better and career birdies. His scoring average of 70.47 this season would be a record if the season ended today. Elsewhere, the Owls will stick with the same lineup that competed two weeks ago at Auburn. Sunday will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The pairings will be in foursomes. Hole 8: Andres Atrio and Juan Delgado Hole 9: Max Sturdza and Jake Hibbert Hole 10B: Jack Wehle The Course The Country Club of Landfall will play as a par 72 at 7,030 yards. The Field The field features 17 teams, seven of which are ranked inside the Top 100 according to Clippd official DI rankings. Second-ranked Auburn leads the way.
