M-GOLF | Hibbert, Atrio Earn All-American Scholar Honors

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic senior Jake Hibbert and sophomore Andres Atrio have been named Cobalt Golf All-American Scholars. To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate’s degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
Hibbert competed in eight events in his final season with the Owls. He recorded three Top 20 finishes, highlighted by a tie for ninth at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate in March. The native of Warrington, England, completed his collegiate career with a 73.80 career scoring average, ranking him seventh in program history. In the classroom, Hibbert logged a 3.60 GPA while majoring in Marketing.Atrio competed in seven events with his best finish a tie for 19th at the Old Corkscrew Intercollegiate in April. The sophomore tallied a 74.35 scoring average. Off the course, Atrio finished with a 3.67 GPA while majoring in Economics.556 NCAA Division I athletes from 190 schools earned 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors. Hibbert and Atrio were two of 19 men’s golfers from American Conference schools to earn the honor.
