BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University’s softball program, under the direction of head coach Jillian Moore, is pleased to announce the seven members of its 2020 signing class.
Jenna Bush
Freshman | SS/2B
Crestview, Fla. | Choctawhatchee High School
Bush earned plenty of accolades during her high school career, named to the 2019 All-Area Large Schools First Team. She also earned that same honor in 2018 and was selected to the All-State Team as a Second Teamer.
From the Coaches: “Jenna is a catalyst at the plate with power to all fields. She has the ability to hit pitchers pitches hard and is going to instill fear in opposing pitchers when she is in the box.”
Haley Fardanesh
Freshman | P
Folsom, Calif. | Vista del Lago High School
Fardanesh comes east after a solid prep career in California, where she was an outstanding pitcher for the Eagles. She was named to the All-Metro Team in 2019, an Honorable Mention selection, with her team finishing second in both 2018 and 2019 in the CIF-SJS Sectionals.
From the Coaches: “Haley is going to bring a new look to our pitching staff and I’m so happy she is making the jump from California. She is very even-keeled on the mound and never shows any sign of doubt, I’m excited to get to work with her in the bullpen.”
Aryana Galioto
Freshman | OF
East Hanover, N.J. | Hanover Park High School
Galioto heads south to join the Fighting Knights after an impressive high school career in New Jersey. She was named All-State in Group 2 in 2019 and is a two-time first-team all-conference selection, also earning the Golden Glove award in 2019. A solid bat at the top of the lineup, she currently holds a .460 career batting average and a .515 on-base percentage.
From the Coaches: “Aryana’s athleticism, speed and bat control at the plate are going to make her a real threat in the lineup. Her ability to get on base and steal bases will be a huge asset to this program.”
Olivia Lovins
Freshman | INF
Naples, Fla. | Gulf Coast High School
Hailing from Florida’s west coast, Lovins batted over .400 during her prep career at GCHS. She was named team MVP for the Sharks and was recognized as an all-area performer by theNaples Daily News.
From the Coaches: “Olivia brings a ton of depth to our infield. She is versatile in so many positions on the diamond and her arm is a great weapon for us up the middle.”
Faith Miller
Freshman | P/3B/1B
Bradenton, Fla. | Manatee High School
Miller makes her way across the Florida coast as a versatile player to add to the Blue and White fold. She was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 and, in the classroom, is a member of National Honor Society.
From the Coaches: “Faith is going to compete not only in the circle, but at the plate and in the field as well. She is a hard worker with an extremely competitive mentality; she’s an all-around athlete that will compete for multiple positions outside the mound.”
Morgan Simpson
Freshman | UT
Ellenton, Fla. | Palmetto High School
Simpson was also a member of National Honor Society, a testament to her work ethic in the classroom.
From the Coaches: “Morgan’s speed at the plate is going to be a great weapon for us. She can cover a ton of ground in the outfield and create havoc on the base paths.”
Haley Weiss
Freshman | UT
Nyack, N.Y. | Nyack High School
Weiss heads to Boca Raton after earning All-League, All-County and All-Section honors as a prep for the Indians. In the classroom, her acumen earned High Honor Roll status all four years as she was a member of National Honor Society, Business Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society.
From the Coaches: “Haley is a great addition to our program with her athleticism, dedication, and versatility. Her determination is what sets her apart from a lot of others, and what is going to make her get better year after year.”
