BOCA RATON, Fla. – Logan Lupo had a powerful night for the Florida Atlantic University football team; scoring eight points, making two field goals, and averaging 51.8 yards on four punts to help the Owls to a 20-17 win against Tulsa last Saturday. Lupo’s second field goal of the game provided the winning margin as he hit a 27-yard attempt in a driving rainstorm early in the fourth quarter. He made his biggest play late in the game with a 71-yard punt to the Tulsa 6-yard line to help protect a three-point lead.
Lupo’s efforts earned the Southwest Ranches and St. Thomas Aquinas product this week’s American Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week honors. He is the first FAU football player to be honored and did so for his performance following the program’s inaugural AAC game.
