| Allen Park, Mich.— The Detroit Lions announced today that they have released OLB Trey Flowers. He has been an exemplary leader for our team both on and off the field and has helped us set a foundation for the future. Trey is a man of integrity who embodies what it means to serve his community and stand for something larger than yourself. We wish him and his family success as he enters the next stage of his career.” Following four seasons (2015-18) with the New England Patriots and three with the Lions (2019-2021), Flowers’ career totals include 75 games (64 starts), 261 total tackles (160 solo), 31.5 sacks, 37 TFLs, 10 forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries. He was named the Lions’ nominee for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year Award during the 2020 season. |
