Trask threw for 416 yards and six touchdowns against Ole Miss
TYLER, Texas – The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award named Florida quarterback Kyle Trask its Player of the Week on Tuesday after Trask led the Gators to a convincing 51-35 victory at Ole Miss on Saturday.
Trask was already named to the organization’s preseason watch list for the end-of-year award.
Trask threw for 416 yards and six touchdowns, completing 30-of-42 passes with no turnovers, as his showing helped open up UF’s season with a win over the Rebels.
Trask leads the Southeastern Conference in touchdown passes (six) and sits at No. 2 in the SEC in passing yards (416) and passing efficiency (201.8). The Manvel, Texas native finished the game on Saturday with career highs in passing yards, passing touchdowns and attempts (42).
The redshirt-senior’s 416 passing yards are the ninth-highest total in a game in school history and the most since Tim Tebow set the school record with 482 passing yards in the 2010 Sugar Bowl.
Florida recorded the most total yards (642) in school history in an SEC game on Saturday and lead the SEC in scoring offense and total offense.
The No. 3 Gators (1-0) will host South Carolina (0-1) this Saturday at noon on ESPN.

In addition, the student-athlete must meet one or more of the following criteria: born in Texas and/or graduated from a Texas High School and/or played at a Texas-based junior college or four-year Division I Texas college.
