Josh Liendo Named SEC Men’s Swimmer of the Week

The honor marks his second of the 2025-26 season.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Following his standout performance at the 2025 Georgia Fall Invitational, Florida’s Josh Liendo was named the SEC Men’s Swimmer of the Week presented by Allstate. It marks the second honor for Liendo this season, tenth of his career.

Liendo amassed a meet-high 60 points after sweeping his individual events with NCAA qualifying times, winning the 100-yard fly in 43.42, the 50-yard free in 18.40, and the 100-yard free in 41.11. He helped secure first-place finishes in both the 200-yard free relay (1:15.19) and the 400-yard free relay (2:47.04) with an 18.04 split and a 40.02 anchor split, respectively. He also opened the 800-yard free relay with a NCAA qualifying time of 1:33.40, as the squad placed second in 6:12.51.

He currently owns the nation’s top time in the 50 free, ranks second in the 100 fly and sits third in the 100 free.
