DETROIT – During Tuesday night’s Detroit Pistons game vs. Miami,world-record holder and competitive eating champion Joey Chestnut along with two other contestants combined to eat 11 coney dogs, raising $25,000 for Forgotten Harvest on behalf of Lineage Logistics to combat food insecurity in Detroit. Chestnut, who is a 15-time Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest Champion, ate seven coney dogs – complete with chili, onion and mustard – during the one-minute effort, while the other two contestants combined for four. Lineage Logistics pledged to donate $1,000 to Forgotten Harvest, metro-Detroit’s only mobile-food rescue organization dedicated to relieving hunger in our local communities, for each coney dog consumed.
