(On his thoughts about his progression over the last four years) “When I first got here, I was considered a third-down rusher. I was counted out. I was the 69th pick; I got passed up by all 32 teams three times. I just tried to improve my run game while also trying to be a better leader for these guys.”
(On contract negotiations with the Jaguars) “I have been here for four years and I’ve learned a lot. Business is business and I’m not sure what the future holds.”
(On why he made the money sign gesture on the sideline) “I was just showing love. My mom was in the second row.”
(On how important it is to keep some veteran guys like Calais Campbell and A.J. Bouye) “Every person that you named is a true leader and they bring a great aspect to the game. It would be tremendous for this organization to keep those kind of guys here. At the end of the day, those guys helped changed the culture. Calais, I’ve learned a lot from him since 2017, it’s an honor and it’s a blessing to play alongside him. I can take so many tools that he’s taught me to further long my career.”
(On if Doug Marrone will be back as the team’s head coach) “I’m not a higher up guy, so I wouldn’t have any answers for that question. But at the end of the day, I have nothing but love and respect for Doug. He respects me and he respects my game.”
