RUMBLIN’ ROBINSON: Undrafted rookie RB James Robinson totaled 53 scrimmage yards (29 rushing, 24 receiving) and one TD in today’s game. In 2020, Robinson has 362 rushing yards and three TDs on 85 carries (4.3 rush avg.) and 207 receiving yards and one TD on 23 catches (9.0 rec. avg.). Through six career NFL games, he has posted 569 scrimmage yards and four TDs in 2020, and today became the first undrafted player in NFL history to total at least 550 scrimmage yards through six career games. He scored his fourth total TD of the season and first receiving TD of his career on a 14-yard pass from QB Gardner Minshew II in the fourth quarter. Robinson joins former RB Leonard Fournette as the only players in Jaguars history with at least 550 scrimmage yards through six career games. Robinson also joins former RBs Fournette(7), Fred Taylor (5) and Maurice Jones-Drew (5) as the only players in franchise history to score at least four TDs through six career games. Robinson’s 23 receptions this season are the most by an undrafted running back through six career games in NFL history.
SCHOTIME: LB Joe Schobert, who was acquired by the Jaguars during 2020 free agency, recorded the seventh INT of his career and his first since signing with Jacksonville when he intercepted Lions QB Matthew Stafford in the third quarter. Schobert became the sixth Jaguar to make an INT this season and it marked the third consecutive the game the Jaguars have had an INT. Schobert became the first Jaguars player to record 10-plus tackles and one INT in a single game since LB Myles Jack achieved the feat on Sept. 9, 2018 against the New York Giants. Schobert has at least seven tackles in five of six games this season.
MINSHEW MANIA: Second-year QB Gardner Minshew II completed 25 of 44 passes (56.8 comp. pct.) for 243 yards, one TD and one INT, as well as scoring the first rushing TD of his career on a 6-yard TD scramble late in the third quarter. Through six games this season, Minshew has totaled 1,682 passing yards, 11 TDs and five INTs on 162 of 240 passing (67.5 comp. pct.). Minshew’s 162 completions are the most through Week 6 of a season in Jaguars history, and Minshew has now completed at least 25 passes in five consecutive games, extending his franchise record. Minshew’s 1,682 passing are also the most through Week 6 of a season in Jaguars history.
AIR 4 COLE: WR Keelan Cole caught six passes and turned in a game-high 143 receiving yards (23.8-yard rec. avg.), marking the fourth 100-yard receiving game of his career. It marked the most receiving yards by any Jaguars player since WR DJ Chark Jr. had 164 receiving yards on Oct. 6, 2019 against the Carolina Panthers. Cole caught 51-yard pass in today’s game and his 15.0 career yards-per-catch average is the highest in franchise history among players with at least 100 receptions. The former Kentucky Wesleyan product ‘s four 100-yard receiving games are the second-most by an undrafted player in franchise history, trailing former WR Allen Hurns.
