30-year industry veteran hired to continue strengthening the Club’s youth development platform
MIAMI (June 17, 2021) – Inter Miami CF announced today that it has hired Craig Dalrymple as Academy Director. Dalrymple brings more than 30 years of experience at the youth and professional coaching levels, having held a number of technical and coaching roles in his career, including 10+ years with the Vancouver Whitecaps in Major League Soccer (MLS).
“Craig comes to Inter Miami with a proven track record of success, and we are pleased to welcome him to our Club,” said Chris Henderson, Inter Miami CF’s Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director. “Craig will be instrumental in helping us take our youth development platform to the next level, working directly with our coaching staff, elite players and local members of the youth soccer community to ensure we have a holistic approach for development and recruitment moving forward.”
“What attracted me the most about Inter Miami is the project and the people, and I am honored that the Club felt I was the right individual to be a part of this team and lead the Academy,” added Dalrymple. “Inter Miami has an exciting vision and a committed ownership and leadership group. A top priority for me will be building strong connections in the community, identifying and developing talent, as well as implementing a development philosophy that will continually produce Homegrown Players for the First Team.”
Dalrymple most recently comes from Ridge Meadows Soccer Club, a community-based soccer club in Canada, where he served as Sporting Director.
Prior to this, the UEFA Pro License holder for coaching joined Vancouver in April 2010, first assuming the role of Assistant Technical Director of the club’s academy before taking over as Technical Director. He was an instrumental part of the team’s academy, taking charge of several youth teams, having served as head coach of the U-15, U-16, U-18 and U-23 teams.
In Jan. 2019, Dalrymple assumed the role of Player Development & Academy Recruitment Director for the Whitecaps. During his tenure with the Whitecaps, the club developed and signed 23 Homegrown Players to MLS contracts.
Prior to joining Vancouver, the England native spent a year coaching youth players at Portsmouth FC, after spending over 10 years with Surrey United SC, where he served as Technical Director.
Dalrymple also played at the professional level, notably featuring for Vancouver – previously the 86ers – for four seasons before finishing his playing career with Surrey United.
He began his playing career in the Ipswich Town FC academy in England from 1986 to 1992 before playing at the collegiate level in Canada. He holds the highest coaching licenses from Canada, USA, England and France.

Dalrymple aporta más de 30 años de experiencia como entrenador a nivel juvenil y profesional, habiendo estado a cargo de varios roles de varios puestos técnicos y de entrenador en su carrera, incluyendo más de 10 años con los Vancouver Whitecaps en la Major League Soccer (MLS).

Dalrymple más recientemente estuvo con el Ridge Meadows Soccer Club, un club local en Canadá en donde fue director deportivo.
Previo a ello, el titular de una licencia UEFA Pro League para entrenadores se unió a Vancouver en abril de 2010, primero siendo subdirector técnico antes de convertirse en Technical Director. Fue una pieza instrumental de la academia del equipo, haciéndose cargo de varios equipos juveniles, habiendo estado al mando de los equipos Sub-15, Sub-16, Sub-18 y Sub-23.
En enero de 2019, Dalrymple asumió el rol de director de desarrollo de jugadores y reclutamiento de la academia para los Whitecaps. Durante su etapa con los Whitecaps, el club desarrolló y fichó a 23 Jugadores de las Fuerzas Básicas con contratos con el equipo de la MLS.
Previo a incorporarse a Vancouver, el nativo de Inglaterra pasó un año dirigiendo a jugadores juveniles en el Portsmouth FC, después de más de 10 años con el Surrey United SC, donde fue Technical Director.
Dalrymple también jugó a nivel profesional, notablemente figurando para Vancouver – previamente llamados los 86ers – a lo largo de cuatro temporadas antes de culminar su carrera como jugador con el Surrey United.
Inició su carrera como futbolista en la academia del Ipswich Town FC en Inglaterra de 1986 a 1992 previo a jugar a nivel universitario en Canadá. Dalrymple posee licencias de entrenador en Canadá, los Estados Unidos, Inglaterra y Francia.
