IMSA NEWS: IMSA International Coverage Grows Through Greenlight, YouTube

Expansive International Options Continue to Enhance, Amplify IMSA Content
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 13, 2025) – Through two different options, the “international” in International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) continues to stand for international coverage options that spread IMSA content far-and-wide, globally.
IMSA content continues with longtime partner Greenlight International, alongside the expanding nature of IMSA’s official YouTube channel. The two combined have delivered hundreds of millions of views, through two very different mediums.
IMSA has grown by leaps and bounds over the relationship with Greenlight, which began in 2017. Greenlight has contributed to the international audience with more than 450 million homes and 148 countries outside the U.S. able to view IMSA content. Live broadcast distribution went to 124 territories, a 6.9 percent increase from 2024.
Shows such as Planet Speed, Motorsport Mundial and Max Power regularly include IMSA content often supplement live race broadcasts offered by linear broadcast providers in some countries. Motorsport Mundial reached more than 71 million homes on its own in 2024, marking a 14.9 percent increase from 2024.
“We are thrilled to extend our distribution agreement with IMSA,” said Jon Quayle of Greenlight International. “The highly competitive nature of IMSA racing, combined with its strong international driver lineup, continues to deliver exceptional audiences for our broadcast partners. Many of these partners, recognizing IMSA’s value and appeal, have committed to multi-year agreements. This extension not only strengthens our collaboration with IMSA but also highlights the growing global appetite for world-class motorsport coverage.”
The Greenlight base has been complemented by IMSA’s official YouTube channel, which has grown substantially in the last year. Since its inception in 2013, the channel has recorded more than 125 million views.
The YouTube channel serves as a primary source for live international streaming, race coverage and in-car cameras via IMSA.com in addition to original digital content and historical archives.
Just at the 2025 Rolex 24 At Daytona alone, the live international race broadcast on YouTube accumulated more than 2.9 million Total Live Views, with the number passing 3.4 million once Video On Demand (VOD) content was added in.
This week’s 73rd Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring marks one year since the pilot program of streaming the flagship IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race of the Sebring weekend internationally, for free, on the YouTube channel without promotion.
“Making our IMSA racing product as accessible as possible to our international audience is one of our biggest objectives,” said IMSA President John Doonan. “We come to Sebring a year on from our pilot program of streaming our Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring on YouTube for the first time, and it’s unquestionably been a huge success.
“Between what we’ve cultivated with Greenlight International and grown over a long-term relationship there, and with the new audience we’ve found on YouTube in the last year, it’s been remarkable to see just how widely viewed IMSA has been internationally.”
