HUGE RADIO NEWS IN WEST MICHIGAN: The Huge Show Now on The Game – 96.1

GRAND RAPIDS – Billboards have hinted in recent days, and here it is: Something Huge has happened in West Michigan with the Michigan Sports Network’s (MSN) popular sports-talk radio shows.

“The Huge Show,” featuring Bill Simonson and his popular Huge opinions, and the MSN morning show X’s & BrO’s with Anthony Bellino have moved to a new flagship station – The Game – 96.1 FM, Grand Rapids’ choice for sports.

The Huge happening with Michigan’s most popular sports talk shows is underway on The Game – 96.1 this week and means more Michigan listeners have more options to listen in.

“We’re making radio history again and look forward to many more years of success with our partners,” said Marty Booher, president of MSN. “More Michigan sports fans can start their day with us at 6 a.m. and end their day with us at 6 p.m. That means MSN has your “6” covered with greater listening capabilities and great new partners.”

Live across Michigan every weekday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., The Huge Show delivers huge opinions and big name guests from the world of Michigan sports. Hosted by Bill Simonson for nearly two decades, The Huge Show pulls no punches when it comes to opinions and commentary about Michigan sports teams, both professional and college.

The X’s and Bro’s Morning Show from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. with Anthony Bellino starts your mornings by breaking down the biggest Michigan sports stories of the day. Anthony’s Michigan sports insider knowledge and access – when he is not on the air he is a voice for the University of Michigan sports department and the Detroit Lions –  make X’s and Bro’s must-hear radio for Michigan sports fans every weekday morning.

MSN is on over 20 radio stations across Michigan and Northern Ohio and available online at michigansportsnetwork.com. Listeners can also connect with their favorite shows through social media via @MISportsNet, @TheHugeShow and @XBMornings.

“The move to 96.1 means that I get back to reaching a wider audience on the FM dial,” Simonson said. “It’s good for all the listeners in West Michigan, our marketing partners based in West Michigan, the local charitable organizations we support and the community. The show hasn’t changed since I came on the air Sept. 23, 2001, and I’ll always offer my Huge opinions on local, state, national and world-wide topics.”

Tim Feagan, president, West Michigan Markets for iHeartMedia Multiplatform Group, said The Game – 96.1 FM is thrilled to have two shows that focus on what is happening with sports in Michigan.

“We have had respect for Bill and the outstanding work he does on the Huge show for a long time,” he said. “It is great that we now work together and deliver these shows to an even greater audience in West Michigan.”
