GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Miami golf team placed 12th out of 15 teams in stroke play at the 2025 ACC Championship.
The Hurricanes put together a team score of 902 (+38) on the par-72, 6,092-yard course at Sedgefield Country Club, the course where the Wyndham Championship each year.
Sophomore Rebekah Gardner paced the Hurricanes in scoring, shooting a 225 (+9) to finish tied for 40th.
Freshmen Cloe Amion Villarino and Sofie Hlinomazová both concluded their first ACC Championship appearance with a 47th-place finish after totaling a 54-hole score of 227 (+11).
Junior Olivia Grønborg finished the tournament in 54th with a score of 229 (+13), while sophomore Barbora Bujáková carded a 231 (+15) to place tied for 58th. Grønborg led the Hurricanes with 11 birdies in the first three rounds.
As the top six team finishers, Stanford, Florida State, Virginia, Wake Forest, North Carolina and California will advance to the match play portion of the tournament, which begins on Friday.
The Hurricanes await their postseason fate as the NCAA Regional selections will be announced on Wednesday, April 23 at 1 p.m. on the Golf Channel.
