Tanapatt Nirundorn and Andreas Timini’s doubles run comes to an end in quarterfinals.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators’ run at the ITA Southeast Regional Championship comes to an end with the doubles pairing of Andreas Timini and Tanapatt Nirundorn falling in the competition’s quarterfinals.
Nirundorn and Timini were the last of the five Gators competing and faced Luis Miguel Felip and Erik Schiessl from FSU who are ranked No. 43 nationally for doubles. The Gators fought hard throughout the one set match, which included the first to reach eight sets and win by two.
In the beginning, FSU had a commanding lead, but Nirundorn and Timini did not go quietly fighting back to make it a competitive match before falling to the Seminoles 5-8.
