GAINESVILLE, Fla. – There will again be University of Florida representation on the U.S. World Gymnastics Championships roster. Both rising sophomore Skye Blakely and Gator graduate Leanne Wong were among the four named to represent the U.S. at the 2025 Artistic World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The World Championships are set for October 19-25 and features only individual competition, which is traditional in the year following an Olympic year. Both Gators already are World Championships medalists. Both were part of the U.S.’s 2022 and 2023 World Championships gold medal teams. Wong won all-around silver and floor exercise bronze at the last individual World Championships in 2021.
Dulcy Caylor won Tuesday’s all-around competition to earn the automatic berth on the U.S. roster. On Wednesday, the gymnasts could compete in up to two events and the team was revealed following that competition. Blakely, Wong and Joscelyn Roberson were named to the roster by the Athlete Selection Committee. The non-traveling replacement athletes are Jayla Hang and Ashlee Sullivan.
NCAA Influence on U.S. Worlds Roster
Prior to the 2022 World Championships, just six competed as a collegiate and was part of the U.S. World Championships team in the same calendar year. That number now jumps to 12 as three quarters of the U.S.’s 2025 Worlds roster competed last season as collegiates.

About the Gators on 2025 World Championships Roster:
Skye Blakely was named to the U.S. Senior National Team for the fifth consecutive year in August at the 2025 Xfinity U.S. Championships. She won a share of the 2025 U.S. uneven bars title and took second on balance beam. This past summer marked Skye Blakely’s return to elite competition since she suffered a right Achilles tendon injury on the final day of podium training at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials. Just 199 days later, Blakely made her collegiate debut, performing in the Gators’ uneven bars lineup at the Jan. 10 season opener. She competed bars throughout the 2025 season, posting a collegiate-best 9.95 at the Southeastern Conference Championships. Blakely makes her third World Championships appearance in 2025, helping the U.S. win team gold in 2022 and 2023.
Leanne Wong was named to the U.S. Senior National Team for the seventh consecutive year in August at the 2025 Xfinity U.S. Championships. She won the 2025 U.S. Championships vault title and took silver in the all-around. Wong finished her Gator career in 2025 by adding seven All-America honors to her career total of 29, which is No. 3 all-time for Florida. She added three more 10.0s (bars, beam, floor) in 2025, including using that mark to share the SEC bars title. Her 11 perfect marks is second on Florida’s career chart. Wong makes her fourth World Championships appearance in 2025, helping the U.S. win team gold in 2022 and 2023. She won all-around silver and floor bronze at the 2021 Worlds.
