GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Five Florida gymnasts – Chloi Clark, Bri Edwards, Ellie Lazzari, Michala Magee and Trinity Thomas – become Gator graduates in this weekend’s UF Commencement ceremonies.
Four receive their bachelor’s degrees in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center, the same arena they celebrated Florida’s sixth consecutive Southeastern Conference team title earlier this season.
Thomas becomes a triple Gator grad this weekend. She graduated cum laude in April of 2022 with her bachelor’s degree in Applied Physiology & Kinesiology – Fitness Wellness and earned her first master’s in Health Education & Behavior last spring after her Super Senior season.
All earned Academic All-SEC during their Gator careers. Edwards and Lazzari graduate cum laude.

Gator Grad Notes:
* Clark competed vault and floor exercise as a Gator and was sidelined in 2024 with a knee injury. Named to the 2023 and 2024 SEC Community Service Team. Earned 2022 Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-America honors.
* Edwards opened the 2024 season by equaling and then resetting her collegiate vault best to 9.875. She earns her bachelor’s degree after her junior season as Edwards entered UF in fall of 2021 with an associate of arts degree. The two-time WCGA Scholastic All-American graduates cum laude.
* Lazzari added her second All-American honor at the 2024 NCAA Championships, sticking her vault for first-team honors. She shared the 2021 SEC balance beam title to earn All-SEC honors. The three-time WCGA Scholastic All-American graduates cum laude.
* Magee’s represented the Gators in community service and leadership events. This past summer, she was one of four Gators who traveled to Birmingham, Ala., to participate in the SEC Student-Athlete Leadership Council.
* Thomas received the 2022 and 2023 Honda Award as the nation’s top collegiate gymnast. Her 10.0 vault in the 2023 NCAA Team Final moved her into a tie for the NCAA career lead for perfect scores (28). The 34-time All-American and three-time SEC Gymnast of the Year led the nation for 10.0 in each of her final three seasons – 2021 (4), 2022 (12), 2023 (8). Five-time WCGA Scholastic All-American.
