8/22/2024 | Football BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic’s football team has enjoyed bright sunny mornings for much of the preseason, but Thursday’s practice was cut short due to lightning in the area. With Thursday’s mindset of preparing for Michigan State and the 2024 season opener on Friday, Aug. 30, the Owls focused on full team and special teams work. But watching the coaches and players work through the drills was reminiscent of the September 6, 2008, East Lansing, Michigan State vs. Florida Atlantic contest “Spartans Win Rain-Soaked Game in East Lansing” 2008 Game Photos. Before the lightning, the Owls worked team drills on both offense and defensive fields. They then moved into punt and kickoff scout work. COMPLETE SCHEDULE Click HERE.
